The LSC and the Freedom of Information Act

For information which is not about yourself, you can make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FoI) for information held by the LSC.

We aim to satisfy your request as fully as possible within the statutory 20 working days deadline. Although the LSC reserves the right to charge for information requested under the FoI Act, our current policy is to provide information free of charge. Where the cost of handling the request exceeds the appropriate limit under the FoI Act, the LSC will seek to provide as much of the information requested as possible within that limit. If you are unhappy with the way we deal with your request for information, you can request an internal review. Please refer to our Complaints page for details of the LSC internal review procedure. If our internal review fails to satisfy you, you can request an independent review in writing, to The Information Commissioner.
