Acas
Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) was originally set up by the government with the objective to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations.
In 1975 it became independent from government and is now managed by a council of representatives from businesses, unions, the independent sector and academia.
Acas provides an independent, impartial and confidential service that aims to provide up-to-date information, independent advice and high quality training. It also works with employers and employees to solve problems and improve performance.
