Funding Guidance for Further Education in 2006/07

This document, Funding Guidance for Further Education in 2006/07 (referred to here as 'the Guidance') sets out the Learning and Skills Council's approach to, and the authoritative guidance for, the funding of further education in 2006/07.

It is a technical reference document, and should be used as a handbook for FE funding. All colleges, providers and other organisations that receive funding from the LSC for the provision of FE are required to comply with the Guidance. It provides the LSC's consolidated funding guidance for FE in 2006/07.

This document is an update to the Funding Guidance for Further Education in 2006/07, published by the LSC in April 2006, and should be read in conjunction with the Guidance.

The purpose of this document is to:

  • correct any typographical errors in the Guidance
  • clarify some points of Guidance where necessary.

This document does not detail all the changes in funding policy in 2006/07. For this purpose read the Guidance and the associated documents identified in the executive summary thereof.
