Regional response to the economic downturn

The LSC is working very closely with the North West Development Agency, Business Link, and Jobcentre Plus to bring together our collective resources to offer support to companies and individuals affected by the economic situation. A plan has been developed which sets out the support which is available, and how the partners will work together to tackle the downturn. The full plan can be found here, and a summary can be found here.

The LSC has also produced a Practitioners Handbook which provides a summary of the support which the LSC can offer to employers and individuals, and that can be found here.

In addition to the Practitioner's Handbook, an A3 Process Map has been created showing the flow of activities and describing 'rules of engagement' for key stakeholders responding to redundancy situations.
