Young People's Commissioning and Allocations Cycle 2010/11
Welcome to the Young People's Commissioning and Allocations Cycle pages
Following the announcement in 2008 of the Machinery of Government changes, two new bodies will take over from the LSC in April 2010 to continue to drive ahead the huge agenda the LSC has been charged with since 2001.
- For young people there will be a new national Non-Departmental Public Body, the Young People's Learning Agency (YPLA).
- For adults there will be a new Skills Funding Agency (SFA).
These pages will focus on the LSC’s transition to the YPLA and its critical activities until April 2010, to ensure the purchase of quality provision for the 2010/11 academic year.
The objective is to enable the YPLA to take over responsibility of a strong and effective set of business processes in April 2010 that allows the smooth transition for the organisation and its stakeholders.
To aid management of the Commissioning and Allocations Cycle a Commissioning and Allocations Model has been developed to communicate the YPL Division’s high-level outputs to the sector.
