Historic Funding Position

A historic funding position is a statement of the amount of funding that a 16-18 provider would receive in 2008/09 based upon their historic learner volumes but calculated using the 2008/09 funding approach. It is provided to local authorities and schools, colleges and other providers to help inform planning discussions about 2008/09 delivery. If only one year's historic data is available for a provider, this would be used to generate a historical funding position. The historic funding position is not a provisional or agreed allocation for 2008/09.
