National Council and Committees
The LSC’s National Council of non-executive members is responsible for our organisation’s overall strategy and operates at the highest level for policy and decision making.
The National Council is supported by a structure of committees to which it has delegated certain of its functions, each chaired by a member of National Council:
The Equality and Diversity Committee helps the LSC put equality and diversity high on its agenda and ensures it is high on the agenda for providers, partners and employers.
The Audit Committee ensures the LSC’s systems of internal control are adequate and effective.
The Capital Committee assesses applications for capital investment.
The Remuneration Committee advises the Council on the framework and policy for the appointment, pay and performance of LSC staff.
The Appointments Committee assesses and makes recommendations on non-executive LSC appointments.
