Minutes of the Adult Learning Committee held on 27 April 2006 at the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) National Office in London. Items on the agenda included a presentation by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) on priorities for skills; the Learning and Skills report, which included Train to Gain progress, migration and the implications for the LSC and the Institute for Fiscal Studies report on deadweight. The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, John Hutton addressed the meeting on the challenges associated with getting people back to work.
