The LSC exists to make England better skilled and more competitive. Our vision is that, by 2010, 'young people and adults in England will have knowledge and skills matching the best in the world and be part of a truly competitive workforce'.

We are sure that this vision can be achieved through a strong commitment to equality and diversity. In April 2007 we launched our Single Equality Scheme.
