Brits spend an average of £20 per week on unnecessary items, including takeaway snacks, unused groceries and taxis - the equivalent of a whopping £1,000 per year - according to new research released by the Learning and Skills Council; proving that people aren’t being as thrifty as expected in the current economic climate.
