Datasets 2008/2009

INTRODUCTION  

For the purposes of statistical analysis, collections of data are made at various points throughout the academic year, the principle of these being the ILR. The data collected consists of several datasets.

This raw data is then processed, during which time a number of Derived Variables are calculated and added to it, producing new datasets in a format more appropriate for higher level analysis.

The datasets produced are held in further collections, for example, the Standard Files.

The LSC shares information with it's partners in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Organisations requesting learner data must agree to the Data Sharing Protocols developed by the LSC.
