Datasets

Datasets consist of data that has been processed from the raw data collected in the ILR or ISR. The processing is to make the data into format more appropriate for higher level analysis and will usually be much smaller in size than the original collection. As part of the processing a number of additional derived variables will have been calculated and added in to the data.

The datasets, which are produced by the Data Service for the LSC, are not available outside of the LSC but are included in the data dictionary to help in understanding the process of raw data through to analyses and reports.
