Learner Information Suite (LIS)

Responsibility for managing the LIS lies with the Data Service.  The LIS is designed for use by all providers who return ILR data to the Data Service using the provider batch route.

The Learner Information Suite (LIS) is used to validate ILR data, to calculate derived variables, FE funding, TtG funding and to generate reports.

2008/09

LIS series 16 is designed to process 2008/09 ILR data, and requires a LAD extract containing 2008/09 data, this is available from the LAD download page.

Release 16.01 contains the new Employer Responsive funding calculation, validation rules and some basic reports.  It is the first version of the LIS to be released to support Demand Led Funding in 2008/09. 

 

2007/08

LIS series 15 is designed to process 2007/08 ILR data, and requires a LAD extract containing 2007/08 data, dated on or after 30 March 2007.

Release 15.01 contains all LIS functionality for 2007/08: Validation rules, Train to Gain funding calculations and FE funding calculations.

 

2006/07

LIS series 14 is designed to process 2006/07 ILR data, and requires a LAD extract containing 2006/07 data, dated on or after 28 June 2006.

Release 14.03 contains updated validation rules, Train to Gain funding calculations, FE funding calculations, fixes to some known issues and a new TtG Occupancy export report.


2005/06

LIS series 13 is designed to process 2005/06 ILR data, and requires a LAD extract containing 2005/06 data, dated on or after 24 June 2005.


2004/05

The Learner Information Suite (LIS) series 12 validates ILR data for 2004/05, calculates derived variables and FE funding, generates reports and reconciles FE data from the 2003/04 year with data from the 2004/05 year.

The LIS is designed for providers who return 2004/05 ILR data to the LSC using the provider batch route.


2003/04

The Learner Information Suite (LIS) series 11 is used to validate ILR and mini-ILR data for 2003/04, to calculate derived variables and FE funding, to generate reports such as the learner profile, and to reconcile data from the 2002/03 teaching year with data from the 2003/04 teaching year.

The LIS is designed for use by all providers who return ILR 2003/04 data to the Council via the provider batch route.
