The Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) software is designed to assist in the audit of colleges' final funding claims and ILR data. It is used to analyse data exported from the Learner Information Suite and produce reports. The software is designed for use by auditors; colleges may also use the software.
The software is available to download. For each teaching year a new series is released. Within each teaching year new versions are released as required.
This software has now been superseded by DSAT.
*Old versions of CAATs which are no longer required to be used are not available for download.
Relationship to other software
CAATs requires MS Access in order to run. Three versions of CAATs are available - for Access 97, Access 2000/2002 and Access 2003 users.
CAATs for 2004/05 is for use with data exported from the Learner Information Suite series 12.
