Data Dictionary 2008/2009
NEWS
25/11/08: Data Definitions for Previous Years The location of the data definitions in the Data Dictionary for previous years has changed, as the server directory has been decommissioned by E-Comms. For users accessing this information via the Data Dictionary, there will appear to be no change. However, if users had links or bookmarks to individual definitions, these will need to be updated. An
index of the relevant files is available for convenience.
WHAT IS IT?
The Data Dictionary is a central repository of information about Business and Data related terms used by the LSC. It is organised in a hierarchical manner allowing 'drill down' from High Level Business definitions to the supporting data items, calculations and sample code.
WHY USE IT?
Its purpose is to provide consistent meaning to these terms, where and how they are used and how they are produced. For more information, please visit the Meta Data page.
For help and information on the structure of the site, please visit How To Use The Data Dictionary. A complete listing of all areas of the site can be found on the Data Dictionary A-Z.
The information available is split into the following categories.
Pseudo code that describes the standard algorithms used by the LSC prior to November 2004 is available for reference:
