WBL Success Rates Provider Reports

1 The provider reports are the primary output of the WBL Success Rates Methodology 2005/06 and serve to inform on the quality of provision at a provider, using the overall and timely new measures success rates. They are intended for use by LSC staff; the provider they contain data about and inspectors who will be using the data as part of inspection.

Purpose

2 These reports, along with the corporate reports, are the main way in which we deliver new measures success rates information about providers. They provide a reliable, in-depth and up-to-date way of examining success rates.

4 The reports consist of a number of different sheets. The front sheet contains guidance and any relevant information about the data contained in the report. The ‘Overall’ sheet shows all success rate information for a provider. There will then be one ‘Feed’ sheet for each feed LLSC that the provider contracts with.

6 It is planned to have two versions of the reports. One version will show the current year’s success rates with the two previous year’s success rates. The second version will show the two previous year’s success rates as well as a rolling average of success rates over the 12 months prior to publication. This rolling average will therefore contain a mix of the current and previous year’s data and should therefore overcome the problem of ‘seasonality’ that is presented by using a partial amount of a year’s data.
