Benchmarking data for colleges 1997/98 to 1999/00

The Council published Benchmarking Data 1997/98 to 1999/2000: Retention and Achievement Rates in Further Education Colleges in England on 28 September 2001.

The document can be downloaded from the table below. In addition the annexes to the document are available in Excel format.Annex A of the publication contains 21 tables showing the levels of retention and achievement by college type, notional level and age group. These tables also include the 10th percentile, the 90th percentile, and the number of colleges the results are based upon. Annex B of the publication sets out the methodology and definitions used.

In addition to the publication, there are 58 tables supporting data showing levels of retention and achievement by broad qualification type, college type, notional level and age group. These can be downloaded in Excel format below. The data uses the same methodology as described in Annex B of the above publication.

Qualification Level Data

Retention and achievement results by individual qualification aim for 1997/98 to 1999/2000 are available below. Colleagues are advised to download and read the explanatory notes before downloading the benchmarking files which range from 0.8 MB to 6.3 MB.
