06/039: Addition of Generic Conversion Codes to the LAD for EDEXCEL Provision
New class codes have been created to accomodate conversions between EDEXCEL BTEC First and BTEC National qualifications. These codes are available for FE-funded and non-LSC-funded provision for academic years 2005/06 and 2006/07. Providers are encouraged to use these codes in the ILR for 2005/06 and 2006/07 where learners are converting between these qualifications.
Annex H to the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) specification for 2006/07 has been updated to introduce new class codes for conversions between EDEXCEL BTEC First and BTEC National qualifications. Annex H for 2005/06 will be updated shortly.
Please note that only codes with combinations of conversion specified by EDEXCEL, SSA and PWF are available.

Z Prefix for class code

N Indicates Edexcel BTEC National Conversion Code or
F Indicates Edexcel First Conversion Code

Notional NVQ level (1-5)
Sector Subject Area, tier 2, using a leading zero when required, for example, 012 for SSA 1.2
