06/120 : DSAT software v7.0 (2006/07) Published
The Data Self-Assessment Toolkit (DSAT) software version 7.0 for 2006/07 has been published and is available on the DSAT 2006/07 page.
DSAT analyses data for both FE and WBL using data exported from the Learner Information Suite (LIS). For WBL, the DSAT includes information from the provider funding report (PFR). The DSAT produces reports on these data. DSAT has been designed to:
- assist funding auditors in the audit of colleges' final funding claims and ILR data, for colleges still undergoing the funding audit
- provide colleges with a toolkit to enable them to perform their own analysis, whether or not the college will receive a funding audit during the year
- give WBL providers data and reports to enable them to perform their own analysis and relate this to the PFR.
The user guide and issues for version 7.0 of DSAT will not be available until January 2007. However, users with experience of previous versions of DSAT software should find v7.0 familiar, and may be able to make some use the v6.50 user guide that is available on the DSAT 2005/06 page.
