PKF Review of the Appropriateness of the Programme Weighting of Construction Learning Aims
Published 17 May 2005
Several colleges approached the LSC in autumn 2004 over the programme weights for vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) in construction. These are known as Construction Awards and they enable colleges to deliver practical courses in construction within their own premises. This has arisen since NVQs in construction can now only be delivered and assessed in a genuine work environment. The LSC commissioned PKF to review the programme weightings for these qualifications and it is their report that is to be posted on the Internet along with a cover note explaining the consequence of the report on the FE funding rates.
