This document should be retained and used as a handbook to school sixth form funding in 2006/07 and 2007/08. It should also be used as a reference manual for the completion of the 2006 September Pupil Count and the Post-16 Learning Aims Management System (PLAMS) for 2006/07.

Eligibility of Religious Education Courses in schools and colleges for 16-18 year olds from 2007/08

The purpose of this briefing note is to confirm that religious education courses which are not approved under Section 96 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000 will not be eligible for LSC funding from 2007/08. This includes, for example courses accredited by the National Accrediting Board of Studies (NABS).
