Skills Campaign

 "Our future. It’s in our hands" is an exciting new communications campaign from the LSC and our partners.

Over the next few years the campaign aims to transform the way people think, feel and act about learning and skills.

When you open the paper, turn on the television, listen to the radio, walk through a train station or go past a poster, you will see or hear the ‘Our future. It’s in our hands’ campaign.

The campaign encourages both employers and individuals to take control of their future through skills and urges them to find out more by visiting lsc.gov.uk/inourhands or calling 0800 011 30 30.

The Train to Gain campaign consists of a full marketing media mix of advertisements and advertorials targeting small to medium businesses (SMEs) on television, radio, online, national press, trade press and more tactical regional press. Using the innovative painted hands technique of the Skills Campaign we are targeting businesses with a strong image of a moving truck driving towards a bright successful future.

Radio stations across England will be airing commercials. There will also be a strong online presence on the three largest search engines Google.co.uk, MSN and Yahoo! with co-branded banners with Times Online and Reed Business Publishing. PR activity will be supporting the campaign with press releases (linking to Skills Campaign) and highlighting survey results on employers’ views on training.
