What we do
14-19 Framework Documents
Welcome to the newly launched 14-19 Framework for the East of England.
The purpose of the Framework is to provide a resource for implementing the 14-19 reform agenda in the East of England.
You will find information here about the national context and key policy documents, priorities and targets, and local good practice.
We have organised the topics into four Strands; three of these are based on the DCSF Priorities, and the fourth covers Monitoring and Challenge.
Each Strand is presented in two main forms, as:
· a briefing document which we have called ‘narrative’, to distinguish it from
· a quick-reference table (referred to as a ‘matrix’)
The Strands are:
Strand 1: Raising attainment now
Strand 2: Curriculum and qualifications
Strand 3: Local delivery
Strand 4: Monitoring and challengeWe have prepared an ‘Introduction and Context’ document that covers generic background information, and a table summarising relevant statutes and key policies.
You can access individual files for reading on-screen (and to follow up the hypertext links), or for printing and reading later.
In most cases, the Strand titles should tell you where you will find a particular topic. However, if you are not sure, clicking on a side tab will give you the entire contents of that Strand.
As well as setting out the content, the side tabs link to the relevant Narratives and Matrices. You will also see links to Local Good Practice files. We have compiled these from our existing knowledge and feedback from the 14-19 Leads in each area, and are far from exhaustive. The 14-19 Leads will be helping us keep these sections up-to-date.
When you know what to find where, you will probably want to go straight to a particular file. To help with this we have added links to all the Framework files at the bottom of this page:
