Is your business fit to compete?

The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games presents an incredible opportunity for UK businesses to compete on a global stage. It will lead to a surge in visitor numbers for tourism and business and is already generating new investment in sectors including; construction, transport, hospitality and sport.

But will your organisation be fit to compete?

In order to take advantage of the opportunities, both in the run-up to the 2012 Games and through its legacy of investment, businesses must ensure that they have skills and talent that they need to expand into new markets, fulfil supply contracts and sustain growth.

The LSC has been working with Government to provide relevant training for employers so that they have can up-skill their staff and succeed.

The booklet also contains a number of case studies from employers across England who are already benefiting from skills investment.

The LSC has made a commitment that every successful bidder for a London 2012 contract will receive free independent advice from a Train to Gain skills broker on the best training available to develop their workforce.
