If you are thinking about what to do after year 11 or when you leave school or college, or considering a change of direction or wanting to improve your skills there are a whole range of things out there to help you.

If you are a young person wanting to stay in learning and your household income is below a certain level, you could receive up to £30 a week to help with things like books, equipment and travel costs. Education Maintenance Allowance, EMA for short, is for young people studying at Sixth Form (school or college), Further Education college, on a programme led Apprenticeship (where you are not yet employed) or on an e2e programme. For more information click the logo to visit the EMA website or call the EMA helpline on 0808 101 6219.

Earn while you learn with Apprenticeships. Getting paid while you learn might sound too good to be true - but as an Apprentice that's exactly what you'll do. Combine the hands-on experience of working with the qualifications you'll gain by studying for the best of both worlds. To find out more about Apprenticeships click the logo to visit the website.

e2e is a learning programme for young people who are not yet ready to join an Apprenticeship, go to college or get a job. The programme offers you the opportunity to develop your personal and social skills, try out different work areas and gain qualifications up to NVQ Level 1.
