The Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 places a general duty on public authorities to promote race equality. The LSC has a national scheme sets out how the organisation aims to achieve this. The following is an outline of the action plan for implementing the Scheme in the North West Region. The approach includes: strategic directions, providers, mainstreaming, indentifying priorities and consultation.
