Review of Further Education Provision for Learners (16-25 year olds) with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities in the North West

The LSC now presents the Price Waterhouse Coopers Review of Provision of Learning for Learners with Learning Difficulties aged 16-25. This review draws on quantitative and qualitative data and was carried out within the context of Through Inclusion to Excellence, published in November 2005. This report led to the publication of the first ever LSC strategy for learners with learning difficulties, Learning for Living and Work.

The North West Review provides an interesting evidence base that the LSC will take into account when developing the North West strategic implementation plan that will carry forward the priorities identified in the national strategy. It will also provide a foundation for further needs analysis to support the planning of provision for this group of learners.

It will be of interest to providers, partner organisations, stakeholders and those who wish to provide informed and considered feedback on the current consultation on the NW strategic implementation plan for LLDD.
