Information for Providers
Your involvement in Adult Learner Accounts is key to shaping future adult learning services.
We know offering free independent advice and guidance helps boost the commitment of learners meaning they are more likely to complete a course and achieve a successful outcome.
Thank you to all providers who have expressed an interest in Adult Learner Accounts. The Adult Learner Accounts programme is a trial, running in two regions (East Midlands and South East) for the years 2007/09 and 2008/09.
The Learning and Skills Council recently ran an open and competitive procurement process to selected providers who would trial Adult Learner Accounts. This process has now ended for the year 2007/08.
If you are an LSC approved Adult Learner Account Provider and require further information, please email: SE.adultlearneraccounts@lsc.gov.uk
Please note that feedback from providers and input during the regional trials will mean that we will be able to develop a model that works for providers and learners alike.

Adult Learner Account Handbook for Providers in the South East
The SE Adult Learner Account Provider Handbook has been created as a resource to help support all Adult Learner Account Providers that are participating in the South East Adult Learner Account Trial. It aims to cover all aspects of the pilot and offers guidance on Eligibility, IAG, Marketing, Data, Funding and LAMS.
The Adult Learner Account Calculator (ALAC) enables providers involved in the ALA trials to calculate all ALA programme values based on their 2007/08 data. The figures provided will be a forecast of the value of learning to the learner and not a statement of provider funding. All providers taking part in the pilot should use the ALAC to calculate the value of learning for their ALA learners for entry onto LAMS.
