Trish Taylor has been Executive Director of the Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole Learning and Skills Council since November 2000 and has also recently been appointed as Area Director for Wiltshire Swindon and Gloucestershire. Born in London, Trish grew up in West Sussex and graduated from Warwick University with a BA in English and American Studies in 1972. Trish taught in the schools' sector specialising in vocational education, in Adult Education and in Higher Education before moving into educational administration where she took a particular interest in special educational needs. Immediately before her move to Dorset, Trish was Deputy Chief Education Officer at Birmingham City Council.
