Sub Group:

1. Employer Engagement and Skills Group

The Employer Engagement and Skills Group task and finish group was created following the merger of the Employer Engagement and Employment & Skills task and finish groups. This group has 4 clear objectives;

  • Develop employer responsive models of delivery of learning
  • Agree with employers priorities for continuing skills development
  • Contribute to the sector offer under Train to Gain
  • Increase provision to meet projected under supply for learning leading to occupations in health and care personal services

Annual General Meeting

The purpose of the Annual General Meeting was:

  • to update the wider network on activities to date and progress the SPN has made
  • to seek views and input on future plans
  • to agree and disseminate the communications strategy for the SPN
  • to offer short workshops on key subject areas

The event was aimed at providers and employers who deliver, or are considering delivering Health, Social Care and Children’s Workforce training and development courses.

Delegates had the opportunity to express their views on the SPN, discuss the membership and help shape the work plan for the next twelve months. The event also provided delegates with the opportunity to network with other providers/employers in their sector.
