LSC

About the LSC

The Learning and Skills Council is responsible for funding and planning education and training (apart from higher education) for six million people aged 16 and over in England.

We were set up by an Act of Parliament in 2000 from 74 different organisations and became operational in April 2001. Today, we are the largest ever non-departmental public body.

Together, we are all working towards delivering the world-class learning and skills that our economy needs.
