The two individuals, Sohale Yasin and Nuno Da Silva were selected from a total of over 250 nominees and two special awards announced on the night were presented to Kier Sheffield LLP as winner of the Outstanding Achiever (Employer) Award, sponsored by Community Training Services (CTS) and Sheffield Forgemasters as winner of the Clive W Leach Award.

Samantha, who is currently working towards her NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy at Intuitions Ltd and Matthew who recently completed an Apprenticeship in Hospitality and Catering with the North East Chamber of Commerce were selected from over 250 nominees to win the CoLaS Hair and Beauty award sponsored by Oracle Training Consultants and the Retail and Commercial Enterprise award sponsored by Yorkshire and Humberside Assessment Limited.

Stewart, who is completing a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care at the Grimsby Institute of Further Education was selected from over 250 nominees to win the CoLaS Health, Public Services and Care Award sponsored by Yorkshire and the Humber Strategic Health Authority.

Sean who began his studies with the entry level Skillbase programme at Dearne Valley College in 2001, was selected from over 250 nominees to win the CoLaS ICT award sponsored by Digital 2010. He was recognised for exceptional progress and learning achievements whilst trying to cope with difficulties owing to Asperger’s Syndrome.
