The 14-19 Yorkshire and the Humber Challenge is an ambitious new vision that aims to achieve a world-class 14-19 education and training system for young people in the region.

Strategic Area Reviews (StAR's) were carried out as a key component of the Government's Success for All programme and involved a fundamental examination of current education and training delivery patterns, identification of likely future demand and the development of proposals for change that will ensure that the pattern of education and training on offer meets current and future priorities.
