Learning and Skills Council
Caroline Neville
Regional Director
East of England
Welcome to the Learning and Skills Council East of England website.
The LSC East of England covers Bedfordshire and Luton, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk (contact details are listed on the right, under Regional contacts).
Working together, we aim to develop a responsive system of learning and skills provision that will meet the needs of learners, businesses and communities throughout the East of England, supporting the long term prosperity of our region.
The National Commissioning Framework (NCF) will set out the core systems for planning, commissioning, procuring and funding for the education and training for 16-19 year olds, young people up to age 25 where a learning difficulty assessment is in place, and young offenders in youth custody.
A draft version of the full NCF has been published for consultation. The consultation will run until 17:00 on 5 February 2010 and can be found
here.
The final version will be published by the Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA) in April 2010.
