The 14-19 Prospectus: 10 case studies of emerging practice
The 14-19 Prospectus and Common Application Process are critical in bringing the benefits of the 14-19 reforms to young people by providing information to inform and drive choice and enabling a more responsive, customer-focused system.
Young people need to be able to plan their learning journey, understanding what is on offer to them and how to access it. The 14-19 Prospectus is a user friendly, fully searchable directory of education and training available in an area from entry level through to level 3.
The LSC national and regional 14-19 team has been closely involved in the development of 14-19 prospectuses and particularly in producing case study material to assist educational professionals in making the same journey. Ten areas have volunteered to demonstrate their own emerging practice and to share experiences of how they tackled issues, overcame problems and achieved success in specific elements of the Prospectus development. The booklet is also available in hard copy.
